Whytespace Web Hosting Infrastructure

Whytespace uses Pentium® powered Dell PowerEdgeTM servers with the latest technology; all servers are maximized for performance, versatility, and stability.  Further, we employ a multi-tiered web server system with redundancy at each layer. Multiple servers ensure that when one server goes down, another steps in to take its place. Each server is built with redundant hardware, including hard drives, power supplies and processors.

Whytespace servers are fully equipped with the latest security including both hardware and software firewalls. In addition, multiple network connections to each server ensure that internal network failures are not a problem. We also use industry standard Uninterrupted Power Supplies on all servers, routers and switches.

Whytespace maintains regular and complete backup copies of all clients’ content, including data, documents, graphics, and related files; we also use automated backup systems and secure offsite storage to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Whytespace currently hosts over 300 websites, most of which are using the powerful combination of PHP & Microsoft ASP.Net technologies with MYSQL & Microsoft SQL database back-ends. We also manage all email operations (POP, IMAP, MAPI) for organizations large and small, many including dedicated Microsoft compatible groupware.
