Whytespace ltd. is a Sherwood Park-based corporation established in the summer of 2000, and later incorporated in July 2005. The company specializes in: website design and development. We are a focused, flexible, client-driven company, organized into small teams to better control client relations and minimize overhead.

Our president, Travis, is a trained educator, a skilled Flash developer and a web designer/developer with over 10 years of experience. Travis specializes in User Interface Design helping clients organize their website in logical and informative manners.

Our project manager Scott, has been in and around the IT industry for over 10 years and has served in variety of roles from programmer to senior manager. Although very competent with all things technical, it is Scott’s attention to detail, his organization and his interpersonal skills that help him excel in his roles as project manager. Scott works with our clients to ensure that the project phases roll out smoothly and that there is seamless communication between designers, developers, and clients.

Our director of graphic design, Sarah, is also a trained educator, an accomplished content developer and graphics artist. In addition, Sarah has extensive experience in writing and editing web content for online education programs across Canada.

Our resident graphics and multimedia specialist, Joel, brings a wealth of experience with over 6 years of Flash animation and programming in addition to his keen eye and skill for web-based graphic design.

Our senior web developer is Jordan. Jordan is a computer science graduate with over 8 years of web development experience. Jordan is fluent in many web programming languages (HTML, Javascript, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Flash Actionscript) and has database skills in both MS SQL and MySQL. However, above all, it is his keen attitude for learning, that makes Jordan a valuable member of the Whytespace Team.

At Whytespace we like to pick up young and growing talent and we have done just that in bringing Ben into our fold. Ben, although still completing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, give us as many hours as he can while he completes his studies. Ben’s main focus at Whytespace is Flash application development and other various R & D projects as required.

The most recent addition to the Whytespace team is Angie. Angie is an accomplished graphic designer specializing in both print and web mediums. With over 5 years experience in the industry, it is her artistic eye and attention to the finer points that make her a valuable asset to our growing team of professionals.

Whytespace also has an extensive list of sub-contractors to utilize when projects require a specialty not available in-house. Using contractors, helps whytespace maintain a very low overhead ultimately enabling us to pass cost savings on to our clients.
